Our Zagreb has a soul and we want you to feel it with us.
Reason enough to accept spending Advent in Croatia?
Oh, but we have more. Split – this beautiful city on Dalmatian coast is proclaimed New Year’s Eve best destination competing with other cities in Croatia. Dubrovnik – also called the “Pearl of Adriatic Sea” is declared the champion in tourism and the best tourist destination in 2016. We would like to introduce you with the croatian customs of celebrating Christmas and Croatian traditional cousine during the winter idyll.
Day 1, 27.12.2016. Zagreb
Arrival at the Zagreb airport.
Reception and transport with organized transfer to the hotel.
Leisure time until the afternoon sightseeing of the city : Christmas spirit of the city”. Enyoy.
At 16:00 pm is departure in from the hotel. Walking through Zagreb through a combination of architecture and tradition of celebrating Christmas, our customs and Nativity scene will leave wonderful memory . Through 2h walking and sightseeing Zagreb in completely different attire, our guides will help you absorb every detail to give you our advent will remainedin wonderful memories. Our tourist guides, always friendly with a smile will walk you through the Christmas spirit of the city.
Advent Zagreb
It starts on Kaptol. The guide will lead you to the Chatedral and tell you the historical part of its splendor. At the entrance of the chatedral you”ll see 13 century old frescoes and marble altar which magnifies a full picture of cathedrals interior. Watching Nativity scene with actors and animals,Betlehem, listening traditional Christmas songs with number of people gathered around them, you”ll have a feeling that the time stopped.¸Continuation of sightseeing is at Ban Jelačić square where is traditional Christmas fair. Hosts of various stalls decorated with christmas twinkling lights and ornaments wi”ll offer you. Their best handmade products such as christmas decorations, candy, souvenirs and other traditional gifts. It”s an ideal place for shoppinf presents for your loved ones,and also for you tu have a memory on this advent journey.
Zrinjevac park
Walking trough the Flower Square your foot steps will be fllowed by classic and jazz melodies performed by our musicians. Step by step with our guide you arrived to the last stop – Zrinjevac park. You”ll have a feeling like you entered in fairytal. Liehting trees in the park add a special touch to your and our fairytale. In the park Zrinjevac you can enjoy in Croatian traditional specialties like: homemade strudels, fried apples and stay warm with a cup of boiled wine and bratwurs sausages. Your guide will leave you there and you are free to spend the remaining time at fest enjoying the sounds of Christmas tunes.

Leisure time until 1:00pm. (If you want to explore the city independently, or have cup of coffee or tea, we recommend you Ban Jelačić square, a few minutes from the hotel where you can feel at home.)

This year Salaj family is celebrating fifteen years of existence with us. For fifteen years from year to year fascinate us. The family property on 60.000 square meters, with special love filled every single square of the property. It is really special in winter during advent. Walking trough the estate decorated with 1.8 million light lamps, arranged grasslands, little paths, forest,islands, streams and lakes is breathdaking. Some other world. Million stars at the sky and 1.8 million light lamps around you is a Christmas fairytale.
Fairytale
Using as many words, photos as possible to describe you the place can”t depict something that unique and beautiful. We are delighted. It will get you back to your childmood and you won”t be aware of it. Photoeraphs by the frozen lake or with pinguins, north pole with Santa Claus remain for life. If you are feeling tired, feel free to sit and get some rest with homemade food that cures everything. Well prepared domestic food, various croatian specialtes will statisfy your needs. Taste the domestic wine, boiled white or res wine or stay warm with tea – it”s up to you.
At 7:00 pm is departure from Čazma.

Expected arrival time is at 8:00 pm to Zagreb.
Free rest of the time. ( We recommend you Ban Jelačić square for going out and socializing. You can take a walk to Christmas market and have a peek what our christmas houses hosts are offering.

Day 3, 29.12.2016 – 360° panorama of city
Breakfast.
Free time. ( We suggest; little gallery,mushroom museum,croatian sport museum,fontana Meduševac-the fountain of great importance for Zagreb.)

It”s time time to see Zagreb from bird perspective. All what you have seen so far and even more is waiting for you on the 16 th floor of a skyscraper. Prepare your cameras, camcorders, mobile phones and perpetuate the view. You will se Ban Jelačić square (where is your hotel) and Christmas fair, Zagreb cathedral, upper and lower town. Take pictures and enjoy the view.

Day 4. 30.12.2016 Zagreb – National park Plitvice – Split
Breakfast.
8:00 pm departure: from Zagreb to: National park Plitvice – Split
National park Plitvice lakes is already known to all by its natural beauty.
National park Plitvice lakes
Waterfalls, lakes, arranged wooden, paths complete landscape is something that you must visit. It is unavoidable stop when you are in Croatia. In the framework of this visit vith professional guidance of your guide you will experience all the diversity of the park. Walking on the wooden paths over christal lakes you will arrive to the “Veliki slap”- big waterfall. Don”t forget to take foto underneath it. You will notice diversities of the trees from :pines, spruce, beech and green fernes on the ground. In the lakes you”ll see life wildlife. Wherever you turn around livid natural beauty is around you. Babbling brooks, waterfalls nois, tall trees along the guide story lines lead you deep into the world of natural beauty of the national park. Day 5, 31.12.2016 – 360° city panorama, New Year’s Eve.
Breakfast.
10:00 pm gathering in front of the hotel.
Walking tour of the city and 360° cityscape.
Split, Riva – waterfront, coffee, tea, boiled wine – who can resist it. You will visit more city locations. Different art styles and architecture with a city tour guide expect walking tour you will get a side story about Advent in Split. Try to figure out whether they differ traditions of celebrating Christmas in the second largest city in Croatia. City tour includes: Diocletian”s palas, St.Duje chatedral, Peristazle, Grgur Ninski statue, Golden Gate, waterfront-Riva, city mall, and many more sights in Split. Diocletian”s palace is unavoidable place where everything begins.
Walking tour of the city
Listen carefully what your guide is telling you because with historical part of the formation of the place the guide will take you through. The guide will take you through the tunnels of emperor Diocletian deep underground. Perhaps you recognize some catacombs from the Game of Thrones where the dragons were detained. In the place you can find 1000 small souvenirs stores with gifts, jewelry, shelves full of traditional croatian products. Decorated with christmas finery, place looks like it is built of gold. Next stop is St.Duje chatedral – chatedral is decorated in Christmas spirit with loud tunes coming from the old organ, playing tribute to the birht of Jesus.

In the interior of the chatedral you will see beautiful frescoes and carved front door. Bell tower of St.Duje allows you 360* view of the city. It will be your second panorama of the city. It”s different from Zagreb panorama because the view includes the islands and Adriatic sea. See the city and enjoy the view, Separate your time for taking photo.
Walking you arrive to Grgur Ninski statute. Don”t forget to grab the golden thumb and make a wish. The legend says that our Grgur Ninski make wish come true. You never know. With traditional music in some corners of the streets you will still look around city and it”s historical siehts and at the end arrive to the beautiful waterfront -Rivu.Our guid leaves you in good hands; waterfront-Riva. New Year’s Eve
Sit down on the Waterfront like real citizen of Split,have a cup pf cofee,enjoy the wiev and fill your batteries for New Year”s Eve programe. There on the Split Waterfront will be New Year”s Eve programme where you will welcome 2017. With our Croatian performers , Dj”s and a spectacular fireworks until early hours. So many people at the same place, about 60.000 filled with joy will be as one when countdown starts. If you don’t want to welcome New Year in open,there different discotheques, clubs, cafe bars. Everything is a few minutes away from Waterfront.

Day 6, 01.01.2017.
Day off.
We assume that you will spend most of the day resting from New Year’s night. We are offering you a few locations you can visit however independently, in that period of time that suits you. Nature Park Marjan in the far western part of Split peninsula. It’s famous for it’s vegetation and archaeological digs. Park covers an area of 300.29 hectares of which 196.24 hectares is vegetation.
Visit city squares where live music takes place.

Day 7, 02.01.2017.
Day 7. 02.01.2017. Arrival to Dubrovnik – 360° panorama

8:00 am departure to Dubrovnik
Accommodation in the hotel – Leisure time.
Your own leisure time until agreed sightseeing of the city and 360° cityscape you can spend by your choice. If you aren’t tired you can visit Dubrovnik city walls independently. The walls have three entrances. It’s up to you do you want to walk the entire walls or just one part of them.
At 17:00 pm – panorama of Dubrovnik 360° – Advent on the main street Stradun + sightseeing of the city.
360° panorama
We want you see our third city from bird perspective. Every city carries it‘s own panorama in the heart, different than the others. The cable car will take you on a hill above Dubrovnik called Srđ. From there begins our und your panoramic adventure. Don’t forget to record the view already from the cable car. You’ll have whole Dubrovnik, from old town to Lapad on your palm. You’ll notice that Dubrovnik is surrounded by the clear blue sea. The view goes all the way to island Lokrum also called Dubrovnik’s garden. Citizen of Dubrovnik call it “Đardin”. You’ll be able to see the layout of the streets and the size of the main street Stradun. You’ll have enough time to take photos of our “Pearl of Adriatic sea”.
Old town
Return with cable car is taking you to the heart of the city. Whole city is decorated in Christmas spirit. Again you will notice some small differences in tradition, from traditional homemade food to the christmas songs on all Dubrovnik dialect. Don’t forget to taste Dubrovnik “narancini” – sweetened dried orange peel, sweetened almonds, famous dubrovnik cake “Rozat” and boiled wine typical to Dubrovnik area. As we already said, the old town hase three entrances : Pile gate, Buža gate and Ploče gate. All three of them takes you to the main street Stradun. You can’t get lost in this small old town.
Walking tour of the city
Our guide will try his best to present you Dubrovnik through it’s history from his emergence to the big earthquake, homeland war until today’s “pearl of adriatic” The guide will introduce you with different sights let’s get started from Onofrio fountain. It’s decorated with over 2000 lights lamps. The fountain is connected with 12 kilometres long plumbing has served for centuries to supply drinking water to the city.
Next to the Onofrio fountain there are one of three entrances to the city walls and Franciscan Monastery.
Within the monastery is the oldest pharmacy in his part of Europe. Walk the trough the numerous streets of the city you will come to the renaissance palace Sponza in which are held the national archives. Next to the Sponza palace is belfry which shous what time it is in Arabic and Latin language. It is interesting that clockwise is move every 5 minutes. You will visit St.Blaise church and see its interior. St.Blaise is the patron saint of the city.
After St.Blaise church the rough a few steps you will arrive in front of the baroque entrance of the cathedral. Of the holy assumption entering to the cathedral filled with people in pray or choral songs celebrating Christmas. You will notice the difference between Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik cathedral. Dubrovnik excels in front of all the places in the world in the number of religions institutions per square/meter. Don’t be surprise when we sai every few steps is a new church or capela. Opposite the cathedral is Rector’s Palace.
Stradun
Our guide takes you back to the main street Stradun and leaves you in your free time. Eat, drink, have fun , take photos, send selfies to your loved ones from Dubrovnik. Connected with people from our city, listen to the music from the most beautiful stage in the open – Stradun. Walk and explore the side streets and hidden corners of the old town. Enjoy. Back to the hotel by your own choice: taxi, public city transport. Overnight stay.
